Just do it!

Give up on habits you have been fighting to get rid of. Take realistic steps to get rid of them. If the doctors says to stop eating eggs because of your high cholesterol level and you are so addicted to it, help yourself by not going close to it in the mall and buying them in the fridge. You could eat something close to it-beans (protein). This is a realistic step to reduce your cholesterol level. Just do it!
